Truck brake pads

Atlas builds severe-duty front and rear brake pads for 14 truck platforms from Chevrolet, Ford, International, Jeep, Ram, Tesla and Toyota. The lineup includes the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD, Ford F-150, Ford Super Duty (F-250/F-350), Ford Super Duty (F-450/F-550), International CV Series, International DuraStar / MV Series, Jeep Gladiator and six more. Each set is designed for a pickup that tows, hauls or works every day, not for an empty truck on a test track.

Every set covers one axle and is built for a specific platform generation. Front and rear are sold separately at $329.97 per axle set. A $100 deposit reserves your build, and the balance is charged when the order ships. Each set is hand-built to order in the USA, with a typical lead time of 4 to 6 months and free US shipping. Use the vehicle finder or choose your model below to see the sets that fit.

Why it matters

Why towing changes the brake job

A pickup's brakes are sized for the truck. A trailer can add more weight than the truck itself. Gross combined weight rating (GCWR) counts the truck, the payload and the trailer together, and on a long descent all of that energy turns into heat at the pads and rotors.

Trailer brakes and exhaust brakes help, but the truck's own pads still do much of the work, especially in traffic and on short, steep grades. As pads heat up, some compounds lose bite and the pedal gets longer. Atlas formulates each set for the weight and heat of its platform under load, with the aim of a steady pedal from the top of the grade to the bottom.

That matters for hotshot haulers, ranch and farm trucks, contractors and anyone who tows a camper over a mountain pass. If your truck spends its working life near its ratings, the brakes are often where it shows first.

Questions

Straight answers.

Are Atlas pads made for towing?

Yes. Towing and hauling are the reason they exist. Each set is formulated for the loaded weight and heat of its platform, including a trailer within the truck's ratings. Keep the trailer brake controller set correctly and use engine or exhaust braking on long grades, as your owner's manual recommends.

How do I pick the right set for my truck?

Open your make, then your model, and choose the year range that matches your model year. Each generation has its own front and rear set. If your truck has an optional brake package or was built near a generation change, contact us before ordering and we will confirm the set.

Are front and rear pads sold separately?

Yes. Each Atlas set covers one axle, front or rear, and costs $329.97. Sets are built for a specific platform generation and axle, so the front and rear sets for your vehicle are listed separately. Order one of each to do both axles at the same time.

How do the deposit and lead time work?

Each set is hand-built to order. A $100 deposit at checkout reserves your build, and the remaining $229.97 is charged to the same card when the order ships. Typical lead time is 4 to 6 months. We email you when your set enters production, and every order includes free US shipping.

How do I know which set fits my truck?

Choose your make, model and year in the vehicle finder, or open your model below, to see the front and rear sets for your generation. Sets are built per platform generation and axle. Confirm your model year and brake package before ordering, or contact us and we will help you choose.
